Last updated: April 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using KAVI ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software. These terms apply to all versions of KAVI, including beta releases.

- Task and reminder management stored in a local database
- Optional calendar integration via read-only OAuth (Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook)
- Optional report generation and email delivery via your own SMTP credentials
KAVI is currently in beta. Features, pricing, and availability may change before general release.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use KAVI on devices you own or control, for your personal or internal business purposes.
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
- Redistribute or resell the Software or access to it
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or branding
- Use the Software to build a competing product
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use KAVI only for lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to:
- Consent laws — You are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary consents before recording any meeting or conversation. Requirements vary by jurisdiction (e.g., one-party vs. all-party consent laws).
- Healthcare regulations — If you use KAVI in a healthcare setting, you are responsible for compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, or equivalent regulations in your country.
- Legal and professional rules — If you use KAVI in a legal, financial, or government context, you are responsible for compliance with any applicable professional conduct rules, data handling obligations, or security standards.
We reserve the right to terminate access for users who violate these obligations.
5. Your Data
All meeting recordings, transcripts, tasks, and AI outputs are stored exclusively on your device. We do not have access to this data. You are solely responsible for:
- Backing up your local data
- Securing access to your device and KAVI's local database
- Deleting recordings or transcripts when required by law or internal policy
See our Privacy Policy for full details on what data KAVI processes and how.
6. Beta Program
KAVI is currently in beta. By participating, you acknowledge that:
- The Software may contain bugs, incomplete features, or instability
- Features, pricing tiers, and free usage limits are subject to change before general availability
- We may discontinue the beta at any time and transition to a paid model
- Beta users will receive advance notice before any free tier changes take effect
7. Intellectual Property
KAVI and all associated software, trademarks, and content are owned by or licensed to us. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property except the limited license described in Section 3. Content you create using KAVI (transcripts, summaries, reports) remains yours.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
KAVI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for use in regulated environments without your own compliance review.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of KAVI, including data loss, unauthorized recordings, compliance failures, or business interruption. Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify waitlist members and active users of material changes via email before they take effect. Continued use of KAVI after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which KAVI is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of that jurisdiction.
